Our Easter Experience
Looking for something exceptional to do with your Easter break? Want to experience what it feels like to be in a professional musical theatre show on stage at the USHER HALL?
Following the huge success of BRING IT ON in 2016, FAME – THE MUSICAL in 2017 and THE WIZARD OF OZ that took Edinburgh by storm this summer, the team at The Beyond Broadway Experience have decided to create a Dance and Musical Theatre extravaganza like no other during your Easter break this year.
A musical theatre concert inspired by Broadway and the Big Apple, featuring songs from The Beyond Broadway Experience shows – The Wizard of Oz, Bring it On, Fame and Legally Blonde – and current Broadway smash hits including Dear Evan Hansen, Come from Away, Something Rotten, Waitress, Kinky Boots, Matilda and Aladdin.
How to get involved?
First, you need to be available to rehearse in Edinburgh during your Easter Holidays. We realise that schools have don’t have the same holiday dates so we have two options on offer students to make sure that no matter what – you can be involved!
Option 1: 6th to 19th April
Option 2: 6th & 7th April followed by 13th to 19th April
The BBE2019 BEYOND BROADWAY Concert runs from 6th April to 18th April 2019, with performance at the Usher Hall on Friday 19th April.
The participation cost for the full period from 6th to 19th – Option 1 – is £275*
The Participation cost for 6th-7th and the 13th-19th – Option 2 – is £200*
Audition day: Sunday 3rd February 2019 at Dancebase, Edinburgh’s Grassmarket

Legally Blonde at the King’s Theatre
“Oh my God you guys” this summer BBE is back at the King’s Theatre for another amazing production: LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL. We are thrilled to have Nikki Snelson from the Original Broadway cast helping our resident creative team produce something extraordinary for cast and audiences alike!
BBE2019 summer show LEGALLY BLONDE runs from 6th July to 17th July 2019, with five performances at the King’s Theatre on 18th, 19th and 20th July
Audition day: Sunday 18th November 2018 at Dancebase, Edinburgh’s Grassmarket
How to get involved?
All our cast members are selected during a fun and friendly audition process. Applications to audition for both Easter and Summer Experiences are made by completing a simple online form.
- Participation fee* for The Beyond Broadway Experience in 2019 is £275 (per Experience). This fee is non-refundable, under any circumstances. A discount of 25% is available to siblings.
- There is a £10 audition fee** to pay for everyone (per Experience) on application which covers administration costs of the audition process. This fee is non-refundable, under any circumstances, and is in addition to the participation fee.
The initial £10 registration fee is paid at the end of the online application process so have a credit or debit card to hand to complete the online transaction.

About the Beyond Broadway Experience…
The Beyond Broadway Experience gives you the unique opportunity to work with the team at Beyond Broadway Productions and professional directors, choreographers, musical directors, theatre designers and performers to put on a huge show in the beautiful King’s Theatre, Edinburgh. Working intensively in rehearsals for the two weeks running up to opening night, cast are put through their paces by our professional creative and production teams. You get to work with some of the best in the industry – and have a lot of fun along the way!
The Beyond Broadway Experience two-week rehearsal period is so much more than simply putting on a show or going to a summer club. Alongside an intensive rehearsal schedule, there are social activities organised by fabulous chaperones for the evenings and weekends, question-and-answer sessions with international performers, a photoshoot by a professional photographer to get that perfect shot for the programme, meetings with costume, hair and makeup designers, not to mention press interviews and promotional events…If you want to know what it feels like to be in a pro show, you really can’t afford to miss this opportunity.
